A gargantuan box office flop at its initial release, ‘Screamers’
( an adaptation of legendary writer Philip K. Dick’s horrifying short story ‘Second Variety’) has since fallen into relative obscurity, left largely forgotten by sci-fi audiences.

In the pantheon of great noirs, one usually finds such illustrious works as Double Indemnity, Touch of Evil, The Third Man or The Maltese Falcon. One not as well- acquainted with the era easily forgets, however, that the enthusiastic creativity that typified the period in which they were made
